Answers to the questions we hear most — and how to reach a human when you need one.
Yes. The map, the routing engine, search and the wildlife database are all stored on your phone. Once the app is installed you can put your device in airplane mode and everything — including turn-by-turn navigation — keeps working deep inside the park.
Kruger Navigator runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later. An Android version is not available yet.
The app is currently in testing via Apple's TestFlight. Tap Join the TestFlight beta on the home page, install Apple's free TestFlight app if prompted, and you'll get access to the latest build.
No separate download step is needed — the Kruger map ships inside the app, so it's ready the moment you install it. When you have a connection, the app quietly refreshes road and closure data in the background so you always have the latest.
Completely. There are no accounts, no logins and no trackers. Your saved pins, routes and sightings never leave your device unless you deliberately export or share them. See our privacy policy for the full details.
Yes. You can import KML/KMZ layers (for example, your own waypoints or a shared route) and export your saved locations and routes to share with your travel group.
We keep gate schedules and road-closure data as accurate as we can and update it over the air, but conditions in the park change constantly. Always follow signage and ranger instructions on the ground — the app is a companion, not a substitute for official SANParks information.

Report a bugKruger Navigator is provided "as is" as a travel companion. While we work hard to keep the map, routing, gate times and closures accurate, the app may contain errors and the park changes constantly. Always drive to the conditions, obey park rules and signage, and follow the instructions of rangers and SANParks staff. Do not rely on the app as your sole source of safety-critical information. Use of the app is at your own risk, and it is not affiliated with SANParks.
